Every human being has the freedom to follow whichever belief and religion he wishes. No one can deprive this right.

Majlis Tahfuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Tamil Nadu attempts to spread religious hatred and to harm the peace of the country.

In a meeting presided over by the qazis of Majlis Tahfuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Tamil Nadu, the members decided to exclude the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from the fold of Islam. In response, they issued and widely disseminated a press release, informing the Tamil Nadu government that it was necessary to eject Ahmadi Muslims from the fold of Islam. They expressed religious enmity and incited other Muslim sects against the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in the press release.

The Majlis Tahfuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Tamil Nadu's words are strongly condemned by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, who also calls on the state's administration to take stern action against any groups that promote religious intolerance and disturb the nation's peace.

Democracy is a hallmark of our nation. The ability to practice multiple beliefs and religions as one chooses, like a bouquet of lovely flowers, is the beauty of democracy. People of many faiths and religions coexist harmoniously in our country with love and brotherhood. Every person in India is guaranteed the freedom to practice any religion they choose, according to their constitution.

Despite this, the Majlis Tahfuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Tamil Nadu urged that the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's freedom to practice its religion be withdrawn. Such utterances are not protected by the constitution nor have any religious value.

The motive of this sedition is to disturb the national harmony and incite animosity toward the Ahmadiyya Muslim community. This religious animosity will cause internal strife in the country and undermine its international standing.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community holds that the only definition that can be accepted and put into practice is that which is supported by the teachings of the Holy Quran, from the sayings of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and from the deeds of the successors (Caliph) of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Holy Prophet (Peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said "the one who is 'Muslim' is the one who bear witness that 'there is no god, but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger; the one who observe prayer and pay zakat; the one who fasts in the month of Ramadan and the one who perform hajj when he gets the opportunity."

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community adheres fervently to these five pillars of Islam. It is a peaceful community where everyone abides by the law of the nation. This community is well-known around the country for its efforts to promote welfare and harmony.

In 2011 census of India, Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was included as a sect of Islam.

It is incorrect in every aspect for the Majlis Tahfuz Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Tamil Nadu to declare the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community outside the fold of Islam. Inciting members of other Muslim sects to socially boycott the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is a wrongdoing that shatters the nation's unity and disturbs the tranquilly of the country.

The social boycott of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has been widely publicized, which has fueled sedition, created hatred in the country, and weakened the bonds of brotherhood. In order to avoid this, the government must act immediately to prevent any efforts that incite hatred and unrest from the very beginning.
