Lajna Imaillah India National Amila have Honour of Virtual Meeting with World Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

On 27 November 2021, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held a virtual online meeting with members of the National Amila (Executive) of Lajna Imaillah India (Ahmadiyya Muslim Women's Auxiliary).

His Holiness presided the meeting from his office in Islamabad, Tilford, whilst the Amila members joined from the Quran Exhibition Hall in Qadian, India.

During the meeting, the Secretary Ishaat, responsible for publications, mentioned that they annually publish two copies of their national magazine, Misbah. His Holiness instructed that they should make the publication quarterly and strive to cater for the languages spoken in different parts of India so that all Ahmadi Muslims in India can derive benefit.

His Holiness advised that they should also develop a website for Lajna Imaillah and upload news about their activities and publish religious content for Lajna members to benefit from.

His Holiness also instructed that Amila members should be leading by example at all levels and take part in all the initiatives of Lajna Imaillah and their participation would encourage others to take part too.

His Holiness instructed the Secretary Nasirat, responsible for the religious and moral training of girls aged seven to fifteen, to ensure that they emphasised the importance of education amongst those girls living in rural areas where the literacy rates are low within the population.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"Make an effort to encourage and help girls in rural areas to gain an education. Nasirat are with you till the age of fifteen and so you should try to ensure that they complete their matriculation. Try to encourage them so that Ahmadi Muslim girls are educated as much as possible."

Speaking to the Tajneed Secretary, responsible for keeping record of the members of Lajna Imaillah, His Holiness also advised that they should keep a record of the education level of girls too so that it could assist in ensuring that those who need assistance and encouragement for seeking education can adequately be catered for.

During the meeting His Holiness highlighted that Ahmadi Muslim girls should be encouraged to enter into the fields of medicine and teaching so that the demand for doctors and teachers in Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's hospitals and schools can be fulfilled.

His Holiness also highlighted the importance of involving Nasirat in particular in the scheme of Waqf-e-Jadid.

Speaking to the Secretary for Tahrik-e-Jadid and Waqf-e-Jadid, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"Try to encourage the mothers to involve their Nasirat and younger children in the scheme of Waqf-e-Jadid. Try to get them to act upon the scheme that was initiated by the third Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, to involve Atfal, Nasirat and children in the scheme of Waqf-e-Jadid."

Speaking to the Secretary Tarbiyyat Nau Mubayi'at, responsible for the moral training and religious education of new converts to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"You must make tailored training plans for those who are not educated and similarly you will have to make separate plans for those who have some education. For those who are highly educated, you will yet have to make a plan catering for their needs. Similarly, those who are from Muslim backgrounds, you will have to make a plan catering for their needs and so too for those who convert from Hindu and Christian backgrounds. So you will have to cater for the needs of different people through specific plans for them."

As the meeting concluded, one of the Amila members mentioned that some people who are not Ahmadi Muslims initially listen to the message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with great interest. However, as soon as they find out that it is the message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, out of prejudice they move away and break contact. She sought advice on how best to deliver the message of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in such circumstances.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"When you are doing outreach (Tabligh) work, initially speak to your contacts more generally and show them your good character so that they become your friends. The Holy Quran has given the metaphor that you should attach birds to yourselves and make them fond of you and train them in such a way that they become fond of you and run towards you. So similarly, with such people you should create a sincere mutual bond and when that is achieved, they will listen to you. Then when they find out that you are an Ahmadi Muslim then they will realise [the truth] themselves. Some will leave you but others will continue to remain in contact with you and will be positively affected by you. You cannot forcefully deliver the message to anyone and neither can you force anyone to become an Ahmadi Muslim. Therefore, whoever is to come to us should do so with sincerity and loyalty and for this we have to continuously make an effort."

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad further stated:

"So, first establish a personal bond with your Tabligh contacts. Then gradually, they will come to realise that you act upon your religious teachings and they will realise you are a true Muslim - that you observe the prayers, recite the Holy Quran, believe in the Seal of the Prophets of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and you also believe in the Imam of the age. Successful preaching requires consistent effort."
