Love and loyalty for one's nation is part of Faith It is compulsory to love your nation in order to love God and Islam
The founder of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) has taught, love for one's nation is a part of faith. Due to this Islam expects loyalty towards nation from its followers. It is compulsory for every believer to love his\her nation in order to love his\her God and Islam.
The founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani (as) advices the countrymen regarding the love for each other."
My countrymen, a religion which does not inculcate universal compassion is no religion at all. Similarly, a human being without the faculty of compassion is no human at all. Our God has never discriminated between one people and another. This is illustrated by the fact that all the potentials and capabilities which have been granted to the Aryans have also been
granted to the races inhabiting Arabia, Persia, Syria, China, Japan, Europe and America. These attributes of God teaches us the lesson that we, too, should behave magnanimously and kindly towards our fellow human beings and should not be petty of heart and illiberal." (A message of Peace)
Islam teaches to observe and follow the rules of the nation and advices the citizen of any country to stay away from inhumane, bad and rebellious acts.
The worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmed (May Allah be his helper) advises about being obedient of the current government, "according to the Islamic teaching, Allah has strictly prohibited from being fraudulent, rebellious and treacherous even if you are in support of your nation or your government, because rebellion or acting against your government can become dangerous to the peaceful environment of the country. Internal conflicts can always invite external wars and promote others to take benefit from internal conflicts. Hence disloyalty towards the nation can create a dangerous situation. For this reason anything which can affect the nation is strictly prohibited in Islam. On the contrary, it is the duty of every Muslim to work for the betterment of the nation." The history of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at for the past 130 years has set an example in its efforts for the betterment of the nation. Islam itself means peace and Muslim is one from whose tongue and hands the others are safe.
