Majlis Ansarullah UK Have Honour of A Virtual Meeting With World Head Of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community

On 13 June 2021, the World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held a virtual online meeting with members of Majlis Ansarullah (Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association) from the United Kingdom.

His Holiness presided the meeting from his office in Islamabad, Tilford, whilst the Amila members of Majlis Ansarullah were gathered at the Baitul Futuh Mosque in London.

His Holiness spoke to each Amila member individually regarding their duties and responsibilities and they were each able to present a report of their departmental activities and to seek the guidance of His Holiness.

During the meeting, His Holiness instructed Majlis Ansarullah to set up initiatives to tackle the exposure of Ahmadi Muslim children to harmful and dangerous content on the internet.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"There are some children, some of whose parents are members of Ansarullah, who spend all their time on the internet without supervision, particularly when they have holidays from school. These children are increasingly watching inappropriate online programmes and being subjected to harmful content. It is up to Majlis Ansarullah to immediately address this issue."

Instructing Majlis Ansarullah to set up a scheme aimed at helping its members, who may not have learned to read the Holy Quran, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"With due discretion, you should ascertain if there are any members of Ansarullah who do not know how to read the Holy Quran. You should sincerely help such individuals and if they are embarrassed you should let them know that they can get confidential help and support. Though, there is no need for any embarrassment if someone has not yet learned how to read the Holy Quran. Sometimes when I mention those who have passed away in my Sermons, I talk about how they learned to read the Holy Quran in older age... Thus, this is not an issue to feel any embarrassment or hesitation over, but if anyone does feel hesitant over this, then reassure them that, without disclosing their identity, they can be provided with the necessary support so they can learn to read the Holy Quran."

Speaking about the book 'An Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran', His Holiness emphasised the importance for Ansar members to understand why there is a need for religion, the purpose of Islam and to familiarise themselves with the study of comparative religions.

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"The first part of the book 'An Introduction to the Study of the Holy Quran' covers comparative religions, the need for religion and the need for Islam and members of Majlis Ansarullah should be well versed in this and these concepts should be clear to them. They should all know what the differences are (between the religions), what the need of religion is and as to why there was a need for Islam to be established... If they become well acquainted with the first half of this book, then the Ansar will better understand many issues and they can then discuss and teach others."

Towards the end of the meeting, a short presentation providing an update on the construction of the Masroor Eye institute in Burkina Faso was played.

The video explained how Majlis Ansarullah UK had, upon the instruction of His Holiness, started construction of the Institute in 2017 and that it was now nearing completion.

Its key objective is to provide state of the art eye treatment in Burkina Faso and to prove a means of serving some of the most vulnerable and underprivileged members of society with essential medical care.

After viewing the video, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

"With the Grace of Allah, the Masroor Eye Institute has been built very well. Now I pray that may Allah the Almighty grant Majlis Ansarullah UK the ability to run this Institute in the very best way."
