"The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself taught that the 'Love for one's Nation is a part of faith.'

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of India extends its heartfelt wishes to all the people of the Nation on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.

55th Jalsa Salana UK concludes with an inspirational address by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

As the people of this country, we are all proud to celebrate India's 75th Independence Day. It also draws our attention to the responsibilities that are entrusted upon us by our country.

The Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad
(may Allah be his Helper) delivered a speech in Germany in 2012 in which he said,
"The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself taught that the 'Love for one's nation is a part of faith.' Thus, sincere patriotism is a requirement in Islam. To truly love God and Islam requires a person to love his nation. It is quite clear, therefore, that there can be no conflict of interest between a person's love for God, and love for his country. As love for one's country has been made a part of Islam."

By following these guidelines, every Ahmadi resident of India loves his beloved country and works tirelessly for the development and prosperity of his nation. Every Ahmadi abides by the law of this nation and are always ready to serve the country in every possible manner.

On this joyous occasion of India's Independence Day, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, India gives the message that we must rise above differences of caste, colour, race and religion and eradicate all types of evil traditions and give utmost preference to humanity and human values. Hence, we can create a peaceful society and contribute to the development of our country.

The Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) and the founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas have taught us to love our nation and remain loyal towards it. Besides, the Holy Quran also forbids Muslims from rebelling against their countries and exhorts them to obey their rulers. At the same time, it also enjoins the rulers to treat their people with justice. This is the principle which can guarantee peace in our country and lead it on the path of progress.

On this auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at, India urges the people of the country to respect every religion and serve humanity. We pray that Allah Almighty may make our nation an abode of peace.
